The 2022 World Sport Olympic (FIFA) World Cup is scheduled to take place in the Middle East and Asia in June, 2022. The World Cup is the most watched sporting event in the world and is the world's greatest celebration of soccer. Fans from all over the globe join together to celebrate their favorite sport during this international event. The next World Cup is set to take place in the nations of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean for the first time.


The 2022 World Cup will be held in six cities throughout the Middle East and Asia. The host countries are Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Morocco. Each country selected location for its geographical and logistical qualities. For example, Qatar has a year-round warm climate and adequate amounts of water, landmass, and construction materials. Each city was chosen for its particular attributes so that each country could host a successful World Cup.


Each country selected 12 stadiums to host games during the 2022 World Cup. Most of the stadiums were built recently or are currently being renovated. For example, Doha's Khalifa International Stadium hosted its first football game in 2016 after a five-year renovation project. The stadium can seat 80,000 spectators and hosts Qatar's NBA team as well as football matches. Another stadium that hosted its first World Cup game was Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There have been many renovations necessary before hosting a major sporting event like this one.


The global community is excited for the 2022 World Cup because it will be the first one to be held outside of Europe and North America for the fourth consecutive tournament. This will be the first World Cup to be hosted by the Americas; all previous tournaments have taken place in Europe since 1958. Fans from all over the world have already requested accommodations for their trips to watch their favorite teams play in 2022. It's safe to say that hosting this tournament will revolutionize international travel!


Many soccer fans are excited to watch the World Cup in 2022 as the fourth tournament in a row to be hosted by the Americas. These new stadiums are finally ready to host fans from around the world! The competition among 32 teams will be greater than ever due to fans traveling from all over to watch games. No doubt this will be one of the greatest events of our lifetime!
